Description

Bearjaw is a towering goliath with gray skin covered in slate geometric patterns. Bearjaw is a consummate adventurer, constantly seeking out difficult tasks and dangerous foes to overcome. Her love of wrestling and fighting, and incredible acts of strength, have earned her nicknames, adulation, and a growing reputation all across the Sword Coast.

The Last Hunt

Bearjaw has a strange habit of sharing her dreams with those sleeping nearby. While camping in Khundrukar, she shared a dreaming memory of her last hunt with her clan. Bearjaw had led a motley crew of young goliaths against a lone frost giant. However, the hunting party was ambushed by a half-dozen hidden frost giants. Despite their best efforts, all the goliaths except for Bearjaw were killed. After recovering from the failed hunt, Bearjaw shaved her long white hair and left her clan.

Reputation

Bearjaw rarely leaves a place without earning a reputation.

In Oakhurst, her feats of strength are legendary, and the town uses the name Bearjaw to describe anything mighty. "Strong as Bearjaw" is a common refrain heard in shops, games, and stories.

In Mirabar, Bearjaw fought in a gladiator pit in a tavern called the Rusty Piton. She took on the name Normal Face. After slaying a number of Mudbeard fighters, she earned a reputation as a fearsome foe, and many who live in the dark alleyways of Mirabar wonder when Normal Face will return.

On the Trail of Snowbane

While exploring Khundrukar, Bearjaw came upon carvings depicting the goliath goddess Snowbane coming to the aid of a clan of dwarves. When Bearjaw regaled her companions with the story of Snowbane, the wall dissolved away. Behind it, in an extradimensional space, Bearjaw claimed the Hammer of All Souls. The divine words of Mordain rang out:

• Whosoever finds their way to this place does so by the grace of their virtue, and, proven, they shall take up the task set before them: repay the debt, find Snowbane and deliver that which the Allfather endows with deep, abiding gratitude. We remember Snowbane.

On the trail to Mithral Hall, Bearjaw helped track a clan of goliaths. The goliaths told many stories of Snowbane. Thought the stories relished Snowbane's great feats of strength, fortitude, and fearlessness, none revealed the current location of the goliath goddess.
